Rural Health Redesign Center (RHRC) is a Harrisburg, PA–based organization that helps rural communities maintain and improve access to high-quality healthcare by providing technical assistance, consulting, and targeted programs. RHRC offers emergency support for distressed hospitals, strategic planning and organizational development, clinical transformation and value‑based care, funding/finance and grant‑writing services, and specialized initiatives such as Rural Emergency Hospital (REH) technical assistance, Northern Border Region Technical Assistance Center, Appalachian support programs, and a Peer Recovery Expansion Project. It partners with rural hospitals, state and county public health offices, community organizations, and healthcare providers to support conversions, stabilize operations, and advance value-based care.

📋 Description

• Manage relationships with rural-relevant stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and state and federal entities • Travel to client locations and relevant events to understand community needs • Work with RHRC team members to identify resources to develop or dispatch based on regional insights • Become familiar with CMS Rural Emergency Hospital Conditions of Participation and other hospital licensures • Support development of educational materials and resources • Establish relationships with stakeholder leadership and support communication with governance, communities, and other stakeholders • Educate stakeholders, communities, state offices of rural health, and relevant entities about RHRC services and programs • Serve as liaison between stakeholders and RHRC to identify technical assistance needs • Collaborate with Program Directors and project teams to provide technical assistance • Oversee technical assistance activities in the region • Attend virtual meetings with clients and stakeholders • Identify potential regional partners and service providers • Represent RHRC in the assigned region at relevant events, including hosting exhibit booths, attending sessions, and delivering public presentations • Establish relationships with State Offices of Rural Health and Flex coordinators • Provide insights on regional technical assistance and resource needs • Attend virtual RHRC team meetings • Assist with execution of RHRC program activities as needed • Perform other duties as assigned • Report to the Regional Liaison Supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a health care leader at the Director level or above • Strong healthcare knowledge; familiarity with rural health issues and unique financial and operational challenges of rural hospitals preferred • Advanced knowledge of hospital operations, including financial statements, regulatory requirements, and strategic areas of opportunity • General knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation for hospital licensure (CAH, PPS, REH, etc.) • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders • Self-directed and detail-oriented; able to work in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of innovative healthcare solutions • Ability to learn and grasp new concepts quickly • Demonstrated ability to foster positive work culture • Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal • Experience working in a remote environment • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Must have reliable internet • Willingness to travel
