📋 Description

• Identify, evaluate, pilot, and deploy new warehouse automation technologies • Support RFPs and new-business projects by selecting and validating automation technologies • Build ROI analyses and business justifications for solution selection • Support presentations, vendor technology reviews, and requests for quotes • Validate vendor FSD/SOW documents and identify contractual gaps • Review automation designs for implementation considerations, clearance, power requirements, cost effectiveness, and SLA targets • Manage smaller implementation projects, including project plans, milestones, requirements, and punch lists • Attend implementation status calls and coordinate vendor and onsite staff communication • Support onsite Solution Acceptance Testing and post-go-live hypercare • Analyze dashboard, technology-control, WMS, and WES data to optimize systems • Partner with vendors to resolve Priority 1–5 automation performance tickets • Develop pilot hypotheses, proof-of-concept plans, teams, locations, approvals, vendor evaluations, and timelines • Coordinate value justification with senior management and cross-functional teams • Review team strategy with the manager, set personal goals, validate spending, and support budget tracking

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study • 3 years or more experience in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, industrial engineering or warehouse systems integration (preferred) • 2 years or more demonstrated experience in warehouse automation • Experience in warehouse automation, preferably including sortation conveyor, goods-to-person, autonomous vehicles/robots, or ASRS’s • Automation, management consulting, and physical/process robotic experience • Knowledge of warehouse management operations, data analytics, industrial engineering, warehouse types, and Lean methods • Knowledge of material handling equipment and automation types, including forklift applications, racking designs, packaging devices, and automation design • Experience with warehouse design tools such as CAD, slotting, MOST, simulation, WMS, and labor management; network design tools and data visualization software are a plus • Industrial or Mechanical Engineering knowledge or equivalent warehouse operational knowledge • Financial business case analysis experience is preferred • Strong planning, time management, collaboration, decision-making, organization, and presentation skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to create professional relationships across organizational levels • 30–40% travel required
