âą Manage the full accounts payable cycle in Ramp, including vendor onboarding decisions, bill review and approval routing, and payment timing judgments âą Evaluate vendor documentation for completeness and compliance and resolve discrepancies directly with vendors âą Determine appropriate account coding for complex or ambiguous transactions across departments âą Identify and analyze vendor billing irregularities and determine whether escalation is required âą Review corporate card transactions and expense reports for policy compliance and approve exceptions within defined limits âą Apply IRS reimbursement rules and company travel and expense policy, educate employees, and resolve ambiguous situations âą Identify expense non-compliance patterns and recommend policy or process improvements âą Own monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, identify discrepancy root causes, and execute corrective actions âą Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, and accruals for month-end close âą Maintain audit-ready reconciliation documentation and identify control improvements âą Interpret accounting policies and determine when escalation to the Controller is warranted âą Prepare assigned areas for audits and ensure documentation completeness âą Recommend accounting workflow improvements with supporting rationale âą Coordinate with People Ops, Legal, and Finance on vendor and employee reimbursement matters âą Report to the Senior Accounting Manager
âą Candidates must be located in the United States âą Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Associate's degree with 3+ years of directly relevant experience considered âą 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated responsibility for independent judgment in AP, reconciliation, or close processes âą Strong command of accounting principles and ability to apply them to novel or ambiguous situations âą Experience determining the right course of action in policy gray areas, with a track record of sound independent decisions âą Proficiency in Ramp âą Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel âą Clear written and verbal communication âą Expert level of attention to detail combined with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy
