📋 Description

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle in Ramp, including vendor onboarding decisions, bill review and approval routing, and payment timing judgments • Evaluate vendor documentation for completeness and compliance and resolve discrepancies directly with vendors • Determine appropriate account coding for complex or ambiguous transactions across departments • Identify and analyze vendor billing irregularities and determine whether escalation is required • Review corporate card transactions and expense reports for policy compliance and approve exceptions within defined limits • Apply IRS reimbursement rules and company travel and expense policy, educate employees, and resolve ambiguous situations • Identify expense non-compliance patterns and recommend policy or process improvements • Own monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, identify discrepancy root causes, and execute corrective actions • Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, and accruals for month-end close • Maintain audit-ready reconciliation documentation and identify control improvements • Interpret accounting policies and determine when escalation to the Controller is warranted • Prepare assigned areas for audits and ensure documentation completeness • Recommend accounting workflow improvements with supporting rationale • Coordinate with People Ops, Legal, and Finance on vendor and employee reimbursement matters • Report to the Senior Accounting Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must be located in the United States • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Associate's degree with 3+ years of directly relevant experience considered • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated responsibility for independent judgment in AP, reconciliation, or close processes • Strong command of accounting principles and ability to apply them to novel or ambiguous situations • Experience determining the right course of action in policy gray areas, with a track record of sound independent decisions • Proficiency in Ramp • Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel • Clear written and verbal communication • Expert level of attention to detail combined with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy
