📋 Description

• Lead annual budgeting and mid-year budget refreshes across all functions • Develop and maintain a long-range financial plan connecting strategic objectives to operating assumptions • Set sales and revenue targets by product for contracted and utilization models • Build headcount planning models for operational and COGS resource allocation • Build pipeline and sales forecast models with Sales and Business Development • Maintain a monthly risk and opportunity tracker • Build SaaS and hardware forecasting models incorporating ARR, net revenue retention, churn, implementation pipeline, and inventory schedules • Design and own monthly management reporting and quarterly board decks • Own the FP&A side of monthly close, coordinating with Accounting on accruals and forecast-to-actual reconciliations • Establish a single source of truth for key metrics and maintain performance dashboards • Assess FP&A technology, implement best-in-class tools, and drive automation through tooling and AI • Translate financial variances into root-cause analysis and recommended operating actions • Report directly to the VP of Finance and work with the CEO, COO, and department heads • Build out the FP&A function, potentially adding internal or external resources over the next few years

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience • At least 3 years in a senior or lead role • Experience in a SaaS business with recurring revenue metrics, including ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, and gross margin • Experience with a hardware or physical product component, including COGS, installation economics, and inventory dynamics • Startup or high-growth environment experience • Comfort building processes from scratch and prioritizing ruthlessly • Exceptional financial modeling capability, including three-statement models, scenario analysis, and driver-based forecasting • Strong command of SaaS metrics and unit economics • Experience building or improving FP&A infrastructure, data definitions, model architecture, reporting workflows, and automation • Expert-level proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel • Ability to create concise, board-appropriate financial narratives • Ability to present to the CEO and explain cost-center variances to department heads • Proactive, transparent communication and early risk escalation • Collaboration and alignment-building skills • Bias toward clarity and action • Comfort with ambiguity and competing demands in a lean team environment
