📋 Description

• Support sales teams in developing Salesforce value propositions aligned to higher education customers’ digital transformation and cloud adoption strategies • Apply technical skills, education domain knowledge, and business acumen as a customer-facing advisor • Partner with account executives and solution engineers through discovery workshops, enablement sessions, and architecture presentations • Define customer-driven business and technical architectures using Salesforce technologies, industry experience, EA frameworks, and Salesforce methodologies • Develop business architecture artifacts including visions, capability models, and assessments • Develop technical architecture artifacts including current/future-state diagrams, roadmaps, design patterns, and reference architectures • Lead discussions on business and technical transformation using IT, cloud, governance, systems engineering, and SDLC expertise • Contribute to RFP responses and technical requirement documents • Deliver best practices, reference architectures, and educational content at sponsored events • Collaborate with alliances, product, industry groups, customers, partners, and Salesforce teams • Lead technical due diligence and risk management for customer engagements • Meet assigned quarterly and annual performance objectives • Advise product management on key capabilities and product direction • Serve as a trusted advisor to CIO, CTO, enterprise architect, and university stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working with Salesforce solutions and the Salesforce Platform • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software implementation, system integration, or enterprise architecture disciplines • Understanding of architectural principles of cloud-based platforms, including SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy, and multi-tiered infrastructure • Understanding of security processes, standards, and issues in multi-tier cloud or hybrid applications • Familiarity with network, application, and information security principles • Understanding of enterprise application integration, including SOA, ESB, EAI, and ETL environments • Understanding of EA topics including process orchestration, BPM, CEP, Master Data Management, and BI/BA • Ability to grasp generative and predictive Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Robotic Process Automation • Crisp written and verbal communication skills • Familiarity with Salesforce Industry solutions such as Public Sector Solutions and Education Cloud • Familiarity with Salesforce implementation technologies including Force.com, Apex, Java or C#, JavaScript, mobile development, modern frameworks, REST, SOAP/WSDL, and API-driven integration • Familiarity with AI technologies, ideally Salesforce Agentforce AI • Experience architecting Agentforce extension points into existing orgs • Familiarity with Data Cloud as a prerequisite for Agentforce use cases • Experience with agent observability and tuning • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Familiarity with solution selling; sales/pre-sales experience is a plus • Approximately 25% travel • Role aligned to the Global Public Sector Business Unit serving US and Canada higher education institutions and systems integrators
