📋 Description

• Own complex billing and contract cases for Mid-Market and Commercial accounts from initial report through confirmed resolution • Keep customers informed in plain terms, including delinquent or suspended accounts • Reconstruct billing-error timelines across contracts, order forms, ownership changes, reprocessing, and invoicing • Distinguish Samsara errors from concessions, returns, reprocessing, and contract amendments • Drive Billing Support, Order-to-Cash, Sales Ops, Deal Desk, Finance, and Legal to execute fixes • Evaluate and prepare concession requests, including root-cause summaries, recommendations, risk assessments, approvals, and credit confirmation • Support cancellation, return, and ETF exceptions by validating eligibility and processing approved outcomes • Log and route billing, concession, and cancellation requests from Slack, email, or Gainsight • Coach CSMs and AEs on complete requests • Tag root causes, identify systemic failures, and deliver monthly read-outs • Continue billing-improvement work with Support, Finance, and Product • Identify billing problems that threaten renewals • Champion and embed Samsara's operating principles

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in billing operations, order to cash, revenue operations, deal desk, contracts, or a similar finance and operations role • Strong priority management and high emotional intelligence • Strong investigative skills across CRM, billing, and contract systems • Sound financial judgment about credits, concessions, reprocessing, and refunds • Customer-facing communication and concise written summaries • Ability to drive results across teams without authority and work to approval-process deadlines • Familiarity with order forms, amendments, terms, and their flow into billing • Comfort with ambiguity and incomplete precedent • Rigorous case management • Diplomacy, tact, and poise under pressure • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or equivalent ERP, and CPQ tools • Experience with Zendesk, Gainsight, and Sweethawk • Experience handling escalated or high-dollar billing disputes • Customer Success, Support, or account management background with customer-facing financial or contract work • Experience building or improving billing dispute processes • Exposure to subscription or hardware-plus-subscription billing • Experience using AI tooling to drive efficiency and outcomes
