📋 Description

• Run Samsara’s GTM AI Engineering team • Prototype, ship, and iterate on AI agents, copilots, and workflow automations for go-to-market teams • Own the architecture of the shared GTM AI platform, including orchestration, LLM and tool gateways, identity and access, MCP, and SDK contracts • Design and operate evaluation frameworks using golden datasets, LLM-as-judge, human review loops, regression suites, transcript analysis, and production evaluations • Use AI agents, coding assistants, and agent harnesses in daily work and build shared tooling for the team • Track models, agent frameworks, MCP and tool ecosystems, and context engineering; make build-versus-buy recommendations • Advocate for AI across Sales, Customer Success, and Support through demos and field feedback • Own technical and product strategy for GTM AI, including data foundations, instrumentation, governance, observability, model routing, and spend controls • Own forecasting, propensity, and CRM data-quality work used by sales leadership • Partner with GTM, Product, and Engineering leaders to identify opportunities, define success metrics, and build durable products • Establish responsible-AI practices covering safety, privacy, reliability, and human-in-the-loop approvals • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing AI Engineering team • Embed Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years across software engineering, machine learning, data science, or data platforms, including meaningful leadership experience • Regularly write code • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience • Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM applications and agentic workflows to production, including tool use, retrieval, context engineering, and production reliability • Production full-stack and cloud engineering experience, such as Python or TypeScript, AWS, and Databricks • Experience owning systems that other teams depend on • Experience designing and running evaluation frameworks for LLM or agent systems • Daily, fluent use of AI agents and coding assistants • Track record of shipping internal or customer-facing AI/ML products with measurable business impact • Experience with predictive modeling, experimentation, analytics, and data engineering foundations • Strong product judgment and ability to turn ambiguous business problems into valuable solutions • Excellent communication with executives and frontline users • People-first leadership style with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining technical talent • Experience building AI or decisioning products for GTM functions is ideal • Experience with CRM, customer data, support, and knowledge-management systems is ideal • Experience with agent SDKs, harnesses, LLM observability and evaluation tooling, and model APIs is ideal • Experience operating AI products at scale, including cost management, monitoring, and governance is ideal • Legal right to work at Samsara and in the specified work location
