📋 Description

• Support the monthly and quarterly corporate forecasting process and annual operating planning cycle • Own and communicate the Finance forecast calendar • Collaborate across Finance & Strategy teams to drive forecast accuracy • Publish monthly forecast and reporting packages with key business metrics, P&L, and headcount • Highlight risks and opportunities • Own consolidated income statement, cash flow, and balance sheet forecasts • Partner with Finance Systems to maintain financial planning tools and support development of AI-driven financial data and systems • Drive the long-range planning process and model • Align the financial model with strategic priorities and key business assumptions • Lead preparation of board materials, executive leadership financial reviews, and CFO financial reporting • Act as a cross-functional liaison driving stakeholder alignment and consistent implementation of changes • Support ad hoc reporting and analysis for business decision-making • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally and across new offices

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years experience in Strategic Finance or FP&A • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field • Strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills • PowerPoint / Google Slides skills • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, often changing environment • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to senior management • Proactive and highly organized self-starter, able to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail • Strong problem-solving mindset and curiosity about applying AI to finance processes • Track record of delivering iterative improvements and measurable outcomes • Industry experience in SaaS-based technology companies preferred • Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Glean, and Cursor; Databricks; and FP&A tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning or similar planning systems and NetSuite
