📋 Description

• Partner with Software and Firmware Engineering leaders to manage headcount, software, and AI vendor spend • Analyze financial results and prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting • Support financial review meetings with R&D and Finance leadership • Partner with Accounting on month-end close activities, cost classification, and reporting requests • Collaborate with R&D teams to drive AOP planning • Improve the accuracy and scalability of financial reporting and forecasting models • Develop mechanisms, analyses, and KPIs to inspect business performance • Leverage AI tools to streamline financial reporting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis workflows • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales globally and across new offices

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Big 4 Accounting, or Investment Banking • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills • Experience at a high-growth tech company • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, changing environment • Strong communication and presentation skills • Comfortable presenting to senior management • Proactive, highly organized, and able to work independently under tight deadlines • Attention to detail • Familiarity with Headcount and SaaS cost modeling and management • Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Glean, and Cursor • Proficiency with Databricks • Proficiency with FP&A tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning or similar planning systems and NetSuite • Prior partnership with software engineering teams
