📋 Description

• Design nuclear power plant systems • Prepare or review modification packages for operating nuclear power plants • Prepare or review functional mechanical drawings and drawings for nuclear power plant systems • Perform engineering analyses and evaluations supporting modifications and operation of plant systems • Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment • Conduct vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment • Perform studies and options evaluations for modifications to operating nuclear power plants • Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-requested work scopes • Visit client offices and/or plant sites to interface with clients and present engineering task and status updates • Lead engineering project teams • Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and plant sites for construction coordination and field verification of designs

🎯 Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program • 10 or more years of experience in the nuclear power industry • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants • PE license is beneficial, but not required • Must be able to travel periodically to client sites or S&L offices, including during key project or plant outage periods • Sargent & Lundy does not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position
