• Support project development and strategic planning, including market, technology, and policy assessments • Lead and contribute to project economic and cost analyses, risk assessments, and contracting strategies • Support or manage technical due diligence and owner’s engineering reviews for power and energy projects • Provide client program and project management support, including improving governance, business processes, controls, and stakeholder alignment • Develop conceptual plans in coordination with technical teams • Prepare and present project implementation strategies and plans to client executives and project teams • Translate complex technical findings into client-ready presentations and written reports • Collaborate on multidisciplinary consulting and engineering teams serving energy-sector clients • Support clients with strategies for new and existing power projects and improved business operations
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, public policy, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in the energy/power industry • Prior management consulting or advisory experience, including direct client interaction and responsibility for analytical work products • Experience working with electric or gas utilities, independent power producers, project developers, grid operators, or energy investors • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Comfort working with quantitative models, large data sets, and financial or economic analysis • Ability to produce Excel models, PowerPoint decks, and written reports • Ability to communicate complex topics to non-technical audiences • Experience participating in client meetings, workshops, or presentations • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, project-based consulting environment • High level of initiative, ownership, and accountability • U.S. work authorization; the employer does not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. • Valued but not required: experience in technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews • Valued but not required: understanding of power station operations and performance • Valued but not required: understanding of electric utility business models, planning processes, and operations • Valued but not required: experience with economic evaluation, cost analysis, and contract development
