📋 Description

• Review clinical documentation to code diagnoses and procedures for inpatient hospital-based claims and data needs • Review clinical documentation to code diagnoses, EM levels, and surgical CPT codes for professional and technical claims and data needs • Validate MS-DRG and APC calculations • Abstract clinical data • Mitigate diagnosis, EM level, surgical CPT, and/or PCS coding-related claims scrubber edits • Interact with client staff and providers as needed • Assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for inpatient visits or ICD-10-CM codes, professional and technical EM levels, and surgical CPT codes for physician visits • Maintain a consistent 95% or greater quality level at commercially reasonable production rates • Participate in client and Savista meetings and training sessions • Maintain current working knowledge of coding conventions applicable to client assignments • Perform other related duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Active AHIMA credential or active AAPC credential • One year of relevant coding experience for the specific patient type being hired, within the last six months • Passing score of 80% on assigned specific pre-employment tests • Ability to maintain a consistent 95% or greater quality level • Current working knowledge of the coding convention applicable to client assignments
