📋 Description

• Process patient data, medical records, and billing information • Submit and track claims with insurance companies • Ensure accurate and timely payment for healthcare services • Work with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies • Verify insurance coverage • Post insurance company payments and responses into client systems using electronic, ERA, or paper explanations of benefits • Check pending amounts due from carriers and take appropriate action • Review partial and full denials through carrier portals or calls, then resubmit or request reconsideration of claims • Prepare appeals for the reimbursement representative • Report unresolved items and denied patient claims to the reimbursement team member • Identify denial causes and help prevent recurring issues • Check with carriers regarding no-response claims • Prepare outstanding amounts and key issues for the reimbursement team • Follow up on appeals and reconsidered claims • Attend daily meetings with the reimbursement team member • Attend weekly team meetings and complete assigned to-dos • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• At least 1 year experience in US-based medical billing practice or 1 year experience in a medical practice dealing with billing, including provider credentialing, authorization, reimbursement, etc. • At least 2 years in College • Must have backup power supply, such as an extra laptop, powerbank, generator, or power station • Must have backup internet that is not mobile data • Detail oriented with above-average organizational skill • Able to plan and prioritize to meet deadlines • Excellent verbal and written communication • Communicates clearly and effectively • Excellent reading comprehension • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word • Thorough understanding of navigating the internet • Ability to work the specified night-shift schedule
