📋 Description

• Oversee day-to-day billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable processes • Monitor end-to-end billing workflows for recurring and usage-based products • Execute weekly, one-off, ad-hoc, and manual invoicing • Monitor invoice generation, proration, and usage-calculation accuracy • Oversee accounts receivable aging reports and cash application • Drive collections through phone outreach and targeted email escalations • Negotiate payment plans with late-paying customers • Coordinate collections efforts with Sales and Customer Experience • Execute critical, time-sensitive ad-hoc projects from conception to completion • Resolve specialized customer issues and requests with customers and Customer Experience • Educate customers on billing policies and reduce support ticket volume • Support Sales with billing and payment-term contract structuring • Monitor and support multi-state business licensure, tax registration, filings, and ongoing compliance • Coordinate filings with registered-agent partner CorpNet • Monitor economic and physical nexus exposure across jurisdictions • Review and reconcile sales tax filings and remittances • Partner with the Staff Accountant and Controller on doubtful accounts and bad-debt allowances • Assist with month-end close related to revenue adjustments and reserves • Identify billing workflow gaps and implement root-cause solutions • Occasionally travel for client meetings, campaign events, trainings, or company gatherings

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in billing operations, accounts receivable, or corporate collections • Strong communication skills and comfort performing direct customer outreach by phone and email for collections • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across Sales, Customer Success, and Accounting teams to resolve complex billing challenges • Systems-thinking mindset and desire to streamline workflows and fix repetitive operational errors • Familiarity with accounting principles (GAAP) related to accounts receivable and bad debt is a plus • Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States • Must be currently based in the United States • Must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future • Ability to handle sensitive financial, billing, vendor, and customer data in a private, distraction-free, secure environment
