• Manage and provide leadership to a regional Account Executive team • Partner with sales leadership to build vision and sales strategies for driving regional revenue • Set and monitor regional goals, quarterly and annual revenue targets, KPIs, and organizational strategies • Grow business each quarter by establishing new accounts and developing multi-year opportunities with current customers • Collaborate with sales leaders to establish and execute annual priorities and initiatives • Provide two-way feedback between field Account Executives and sales management • Facilitate consultative discussions to determine district needs • Monitor progress and evaluate the quality of sales meetings • Communicate regularly with districts, focusing on premier districts • Partner with field Account Executives to facilitate meetings, secure district commitments, and deliver high-level presentations • Maintain expertise in literacy instruction and Scholastic product knowledge • Communicate with project managers about districts’ professional learning needs • Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders • Attend meetings with Account Executives and the sales team to identify opportunities • Coach and mentor direct reports, provide feedback, and measure progress against individualized goals
• Ability to maintain a travel schedule of 85% • Excellent skills in Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • 5+ years selling strategically across a territory and generating and closing large opportunities • Sales responsibility for a minimum of $10 million in revenue • Proven track record of meeting quarterly and annual sales and profitability objectives • Preference for candidates with well-established relationships • Deep knowledge and experience with literacy • 15+ years’ experience selling to major/high-level accounts • 10+ years of actively selling and managing a team of Account Executives • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
