📋 Description

• Design and advance the agent harness, including the agent loop, tools, prompts, execution environment, and capabilities, used across Scout AI's agentic stack • Integrate full-stack software with physical hardware systems and AI agents • Ensure robust, low-latency communication across complex pipelines • Build simulation environments and video-game-like frameworks for agent testing and training before physical deployment • Own connectors between AI models and real-world systems, translating model output into physical action • Fine-tune frontier AI models • Build data acquisition pipelines feeding the training infrastructure for agents • Work directly with warfighters to turn capability requests into production-ready agentic systems

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of full-stack engineering experience (startup or high-ownership environment preferred) • Experience building complex agentic products or infrastructure, including agent loops, orchestration systems, and tool-use frameworks • Strong opinions on model and agent behavior • Hands-on experience integrating software with physical hardware or low-level systems • Exposure to simulation environments, game engines (Unreal, Unity, Isaac Sim), or robotics middleware (ROS/ROS2) • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including architecture, distributed systems, and real-time pipelines • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities • Passion about defense of the United States and its allies • May be expected to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
