âą Partner with injured workers, employers, and medical providers to create case management strategies âą Facilitate medical recovery and successful return to work through advocacy, communication, and coordination of medical services âą Apply medical/clinical or rehabilitation knowledge to manage complex medical conditions, treatment planning, and recovery âą Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments by telephone âą Evaluate injuries, medical treatment, psychosocial needs, cultural implications, and support systems âą Communicate and build relationships with claims examiners, clients, injured workers, attorneys, and supervisors âą Identify issues related to delayed recovery or return to work and develop solutions âą Negotiate treatment and disability duration with providers using medical and disability duration guidelines âą Identify opportunities to expedite care for cost containment and timely medical recovery âą Recommend alternate clinical resources to support claim resolution âą Maintain client privacy and confidentiality and promote client safety and advocacy âą Adhere to ethical, legal, accreditation, and regulatory standards
âą Current unrestricted RN license(s) in a state or territory of the United States required âą Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience preferred âą Certification in case management, rehabilitation nursing, or a related specialty highly preferred âą Medical/clinical or rehabilitation knowledge and experience âą Ability to handle work-related stress and multiple priorities simultaneously âą Ability to meet deadlines âą Clear and conceptual thinking ability âą Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion âą Computer keyboarding ability âą Hearing, vision, and talking ability
