📋 Description

• Lead and coordinate substation engineering projects from conception through completion, including design, planning, and construction support • Apply Georgia Power substation standards, design practices, and operational protocols to ensure compliance and efficiency • Collaborate with protection & control, civil, and transmission teams to develop project solutions • Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and contractor submittals • Provide technical guidance to field teams during substation construction, commissioning, and maintenance • Conduct site inspections and support troubleshooting of substation equipment and systems • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements • Mentor junior engineers and serve as a subject matter expert within the substation team • Report to the CEO

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in substation engineering • At least 2 years at Georgia Power or supporting Georgia Power • Strong knowledge of substation design, relay protection, SCADA systems, and utility construction practices • Proficient in engineering software and tools used for substation design and analysis • Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills • Willingness to travel to project sites as required • Authorized to work in the U.S.; work authorization is a precondition of employment • Select Power Systems will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization
