• Provide client consulting services and objective advice in Medicaid financing and healthcare policy • Manage a portfolio of supplemental payment and consulting initiatives in the Northeast region • Provide project management, direct service delivery, and client satisfaction for large, complex, multi-year initiatives • Support Associate Directors and Directors and guide Consultants through project phases and client engagements • Set project goals and timelines and guide project strategy and problem solving • Perform project tasks, manage implementation, and produce client-ready deliverables • Serve as a key client contact and respond to questions and communications • Generate solutions that meet client needs and translate technical information into understandable narratives • Anticipate, escalate, and propose solutions for service, quality, and risk issues • Prepare for and lead or participate in internal and external meetings • Prepare authorizing documentation and responses for state and federal partners • Coordinate with technical teams to incorporate policy decisions into technical and financial documentation • Manage internal reports of team hours and organize client deliverables and project timelines • Proactively manage outcomes and anticipate client needs • Mentor and onboard new Consultants • Build professional networks and subject matter expertise through stakeholder events and conferences • Support sales initiatives and marketing content, presentations, website content, and webinars • Help develop, document, and communicate new healthcare policy solutions • Monitor federal regulations, state-specific regulations, and state or industry trends
• Bachelor's degree and 7+ combined years in a policy management role and/or consulting or healthcare industry required • Alternatively, 5+ years of post-graduate progressively responsible work experience in consulting or healthcare operations and/or health policy research or analysis • 7–10 years of progressively responsible work experience, preferably in health or human services policy research, consulting, or healthcare service delivery • Experience with Medicaid preferred • Relevant experience in the federal, state, or private healthcare industry sector strongly desired • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint required • Clear writing, confident presentation, and effective facilitation skills • Ability to communicate frequently with senior-level clients and government officials • Ability to work effectively and leverage internal resources • Ability to tailor communication to different audiences and interact professionally with clients and outside audiences • Experience organizing and coordinating the work of others • Ability to multitask and manage several complex projects and client initiatives simultaneously • Ability to stay focused on long-term goals • Previous project or task management experience strongly desired • Strong attention to detail • Experience delivering services on several projects simultaneously • Time management skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required • Experience in quantitative program evaluation highly desirable
