📋 Description

• Design, develop, and assist in securing scalable application modules using Java and Thymeleaf • Use AI conversion tools and manual methods to translate legacy PowerBuilder modules to a modern Java codebase • Collaborate with customer teams to review technical specifications, ensure smooth testing, and deliver high-quality code • Provide expert insights to improve application performance, reliability, and security • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive peer feedback • Document technical processes and solutions • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems • Work within an Agile SDLC using two- to three-week sprints, daily scrums, and sprint tracking software • Work within a DevSecOps delivery model by embedding security and quality controls into the pipeline • Help maintain automated CI/CD pipelines that build, test, scan, and deploy code • Triage and remediate SAST, DAST, and software composition analysis findings • Write automated unit and integration tests to support continuous delivery and coverage thresholds • Apply secure coding practices consistent with OWASP guidance and applicable DoD requirements, including relevant STIGs

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen • Must have eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust/NACI position • Bachelor's degree • Active/current 8140 IAT II certification • 6+ years of related experience • Experience building applications in Java • Understanding of REST APIs, data structures, and backend best practices • Experience with Thymeleaf and Thymeleaf modules • Experience with Spring Boot framework • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, application refactoring, database migration, and SaaS integration • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell • Experience with relational and non-relational databases • Experience working in cloud architectures such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud • Written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, Ansible, and JFrog Artifactory • Understanding of Git/Git Bash, Git etiquette, and branching strategy • Experience working in an Agile environment highly desired • Experience working with PowerBuilder • Experience collaborating with remote teams • Experience working within DoD or USAF highly desired • Experience using AI code-conversion tools • Experience with Agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex
