ShipCalm is an omnichannel e-commerce third‑party logistics (3PL) provider that combines warehousing, pick & pack fulfillment, kitting, returns/reverse logistics, and customer service with a technology platform. The company offers owned fulfillment centers (Southern California and Indiana) plus partner facilities, specialized services like Amazon FBA prep, subscription box and crowdfunding fulfillment, integrations with major e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, QuickBooks, etc. ), and APIs and an AI ops platform (Marvin) for inventory and operations automation. ShipCalm launched in 2017 and positions itself for DTC, retail and marketplace sellers seeking scalable fulfillment and omnichannel inventory management.

📋 Description

• Conduct a full audit of the tech stack, end-to-end value streams, and system dependencies during the first 30 days. • Build trust and accountability through clear communication across Slack and meeting channels. • Contribute to weekly Product L10 meetings and Rock Out sessions. • Develop a plan to grow the technical team professionally and in number, minimizing direct dependencies on the director. • Maintain platform health and system reliability through continuous monitoring and proactive issue resolution. • Serve as an escalation anchor for urgent technical issues while upholding support SLAs and system metrics. • Coach direct reports through weekly 1:1s, KPI support, achievement recognition, and performance or workflow issue resolution. • Execute remediation plans for high-priority technical debt. • Build a high-performance culture of ownership and psychological safety. • Track ticket volumes and time spent across bugs, features, and technical debt. • Partner with Operations to automate manual workflows. • Deliver 2–5 technology integrations or onboardings per week.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in software engineering, integrations, and technical operations • 2+ years of technical leadership experience • 2+ years of hands-on experience with third-party integrations and complex distributed systems • Experience in warehousing, logistics, and/or e-commerce platforms and domains • Experience with project management and agile methodologies • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including explaining complex technical systems in non-technical terms • High emotional intelligence and a proven track record of delivering results under pressure • Strong programming proficiency, especially TypeScript and NodeJS • Strong data analytics experience, especially SQL • Experience with supply chain technologies (OMS, WMS, TMS) • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
