📋 Description

• Ensure clinical trial/site budgets are high quality and allocations remain within fair market values • Analyze protocol flowcharts to create costing, payment strategies, budget estimates, and negotiation parameters within FMV • Develop and maintain the Sites Fee Framework • Set up year-end accruals and develop plausibility checks • Coordinate, process, monitor, and administer site payments, including invoices and visits, according to contract and budget terms • Set up, close, re-open, and submit payments within grants • Use budget-specific and trial metrics and tools to report on, provide visibility into, and analyze performance and deliverables • Identify and execute continuous-improvement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness • Stay current with industry standards, trends, competitive intelligence, and budget best practices • Interface with Medical, therapeutic areas, Finance, Legal, investigators, site personnel, and third-party vendors • Liaise with Clinical Trial Managers and TA Leads on budget and payment reviews and approvals • Support Finance with payment-execution issues and accrual-status matching • Coordinate payment-related approvals and documentation with Clinical Finance/Accounting, Legal, and Clinical Operations leadership • Partner with Contract Managers to identify issues and propose mitigations • Support contract managers in developing site-budget negotiation strategies • Represent Budget group processes on local/global working groups • Maintain customer-centric behaviors and responsiveness to internal and external requests

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant business experience in regulated pharmaceuticals or healthcare industry • Strong clinical background and understanding of cost drivers and benchmarks for clinical site budgets • Ability to think strategically and initiate strong, persuasive contractual arguments supporting business policies and objectives • Track record in setting priorities, organization, and problem-solving skills supporting sound decision-making • Excellent customer service skills and high attention to detail • Demonstrated analytical skills and critical thinking to resolve complex situations requiring new solutions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely in varied settings • Experience with systems and applications related to clinical and/or project management planning and reporting • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access • Experience with Veeva and Grant Plan required
