📋 Description

• Safely work in energized utility-class substations • Lead a team while maintaining a positive attitude • Test utility transmission-grade relays • Perform functional testing of protective schemes on projects within the continental United States • Commission and troubleshoot substation SCADA systems • Plan, prepare, and execute test plans using Doble ProTest or equivalent software/equipment • Perform functional testing of complex protection schemes • Ensure project quality and conformance to specifications • Troubleshoot and resolve design and wiring issues • Communicate progress and issues to the Project Manager and company management • Track and organize project testing documentation for closeout packages • Perform in-service checks in energized substations

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to safely work in energized utility-class substations • Ability to lead a team and maintain a positive attitude • 3–5 years of experience testing SEL, GE, ABB, and Basler microprocessor-based relays • Understanding of protective relays and schemes, including overcurrent, differential, line, voltage, and frequency protection applications • Experience performing SCADA testing with SEL RTAC or similar vendor equipment • Strong computer skills in MS Office, Doble Protection Suite, RTS, SEL AcSELerator, Adobe, and other tools as needed • Ability to perform in-service checks in energized substations • Minimum Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology/Engineering, Bachelor’s preferred, or equivalent industry experience; 10+ years preferred for the experience alternative • Average travel of 75% annually • Clean driving record • Ability to work outdoors and in hot, cold, and loud conditions • Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials up to 60 lbs. • Ability to work in elevated positions • OSHA 10-hour minimum • NFPA 70E FA/CPR training • NICET or NETA Level 2 or higher qualification • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills • Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications • Ability and inclination to research and self-teach unfamiliar subject matter • Ability to professionally represent the company with clients, owners, vendors, and subcontractors • Ability to push issues to resolution • Self-motivated
