📋 Description

• Define and deliver Skillable’s data products, analytics capabilities, and data infrastructure • Own areas of the data ecosystem and drive technical planning, requirements definition, accessibility, reliability, actionability, and scalability • Partner with engineering, data, infrastructure, architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate data strategy into secure, extensible technical features • Own planning and delivery of platform capabilities such as self-service reporting, internal business intelligence, data dictionaries, customer data access, and insights generation • Translate product strategy into technical requirements and system designs for engineering execution • Serve as Product Owner within Agile delivery teams • Maintain a groomed backlog and write technical features and user stories with acceptance criteria • Build and execute product vision, strategy, and plans to expand Skillable’s total addressable market • Define metrics for feature adoption and engagement • Drive continuous improvement in platform tooling, automation, and external-system integrations • Lead technical planning sessions, architecture trade-off discussions, and risk evaluations • Act as subject matter expert for assigned domains and contribute to documentation, technical specifications, and knowledge sharing • Partner with product marketing and enablement • Participate in incident reviews and identify root causes and resolution paths with SRE and engineering • Represent platform needs in engineering forums, sprint demos, and internal release reviews • Support customer escalations, engagements, and outbound activities as a domain subject matter expert • Identify opportunities to leverage AI for data products, workflows, automation, and user experiences • Incorporate AI and emerging technologies into product strategy and roadmap planning • Use AI tools for product discovery, requirements development, data analysis, documentation, and other product-management workflows • Contribute to interviewing and selecting new team members • Support company values through positive interactions with internal and external stakeholders • Participate in strategic business initiatives and special cross-functional projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field—or equivalent work experience • 8+ years in technical product management or a related technical role • 5+ years working with customers, writing requirements for new product offerings, and collaborating with architects, developers, and related peer groups • Strong experience with AI tools, technologies, and platforms • Demonstrated ability to identify practical opportunities to apply AI to business or customer problems • Experience using AI tools for research, requirements development, analysis, documentation, or decision making • Familiarity with data extraction using Boomi/Rivery • Familiarity with data transformation using DBT • Familiarity with data visualization using Power BI and Tableau • Familiarity with cloud, container, and datacenter platforms, including Azure and AWS, preferred • Knowledge of networking, identity, observability, and storage services preferred • Ability to write clear, technically rigorous requirements and collaborate on architectural decision-making • Experience delivering backend or infrastructure-heavy projects with cross-functional teams • Interest and ability in mentoring and/or training team members • Effective communication to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership • Ability to present material formally and informally to all organizational levels • Proven organizational skills and ability to manage short- and long-term demands simultaneously • Adaptability to changing business needs and ability to maintain a professional demeanor • Experience working in Agile environments, managing backlogs, sprint planning, and delivery • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, prioritization, and documentation skills • Comfortable operating in a fully remote environment with modern communication and collaboration tools • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities • Strong Microsoft suite experience, including Teams or similar conferencing and internal communication software, preferred • Experience working in a fully remote team preferred but not required • Understanding of business operations and processes, or willingness to learn quickly • Background in systems design or hands-on engineering preferred • Experience with Skillable platform technologies, including lab design, creation, management, delivery, and architecture, preferred • Experience supporting or building platforms used internally by engineering and product teams preferred • Experience in software engineering and software design preferred • Must have primary residence in one of the specified U.S. states • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; Skillable participates in E-Verify • Remote home office space supporting privacy and focus for frequent video and voice calls • Periodic travel of up to approximately 10% may be required
