• Lead a formal, cross-functional LMS Extensibility function focused on integrations, interoperability standards, and platform extensibility • Own the LMS integrations and customization portfolio and roadmap, including intake, prioritization, dependency mapping, and delivery planning • Define, maintain, and socialize LMS integration standards, including LTI, API practices, identity/SSO patterns, data handling, and operational readiness • Build team expertise around 1EdTech interoperability standards • Govern LMS integration approaches across vendors, internal development teams, and operational stakeholders • Own Banner–Brightspace integration components, including product ownership, process ownership, configuration alignment, issue triage, and lifecycle planning • Lead testing, UAT, and release readiness for SIS/LMS changes and enhancements • Improve end-to-end data flows affecting enrollment, course provisioning, roles, and grade processes • Manage the lifecycle of LTI integrations, including tool evaluation, standards conformance, configuration, privacy/security alignment, and vendor escalation • Oversee API-based and custom LMS integrations, including documentation, monitoring, alerting, and support handoffs • Lead SSO integration patterns with identity and security teams • Ensure reliable LMS and integrated-system support for staff, faculty, and students • Own and improve Course Roll and Grade Pass Back processes and adjacent term-start workflows • Partner with LMS Operations on incident and problem management and root-cause remediation • Provide people leadership through coaching, performance management, goal setting, career development, and workload planning • Reduce single points of failure through cross-training, peer review, shared documentation, and resilient support coverage • Report to the Director of Academic Technology
• 5 years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives requiring technical and business knowledge, business relationship management, team leadership, and communication skills • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, instructional technology, business administration, or similar field • Experience providing leadership and/or support for enterprise LMS ecosystems, preferably D2L Brightspace • Understanding of LTI, edtech standards, APIs, SSO, data exchange, and integration lifecycle management • Experience with SIS/LMS integration concepts, including provisioning, enrollments, roles, course shells, and grade workflows • Working knowledge of SIS-driven processes; Banner preferred • Experience collaborating with technical teams, operational stakeholders, and third-party vendors • Experience managing vendor relationships • Experience communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience analyzing system issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions or process improvements • Experience coordinating projects, initiatives, or operational activities involving multiple stakeholders, dependencies, priorities, and timelines • Must reside in and work from one of the approved states • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, properly equipped workspace free of distractions
