📋 Description

• Serve as the portfolio's subject matter expert on AI and evaluate emerging technologies, models, frameworks, and market trends • Define and execute the portfolio-wide AI strategy with the Portfolio Leader • Transform engineering organizations into AI-native teams through organizational, workflow, and delivery-model redesign • Establish an AI-first Software Development Lifecycle across planning, development, testing, documentation, deployment, and support • Evaluate and implement AI tooling to improve engineering productivity, software quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency • Drive AI adoption across engineering, product, customer support, sales, and internal operations • Establish portfolio-wide standards for architecture, security, infrastructure, engineering quality, and technology governance • Guide technical roadmaps across portfolio companies • Prioritize technology investments with executive leadership • Standardize engineering metrics, tooling, and best practices while preserving business flexibility • Lead engineering organizational strategy across the portfolio • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain technical talent and leaders • Make organizational design, hiring, succession planning, and performance management decisions • Foster innovation, accountability, speed, and continuous improvement • Identify and build standalone AI-native products and companies • Evaluate market opportunities, product strategy, commercialization plans, and investment priorities • Lead technical execution for new AI ventures from concept through launch • Create reusable AI capabilities for portfolio companies and external markets • Lead technical due diligence for prospective acquisitions • Assess engineering organizations, architecture, security, technical debt, scalability, and AI readiness • Develop integration strategies for acquired businesses • Accelerate post-acquisition modernization and alignment with portfolio technology standards

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated technology leadership across multiple software businesses and portfolio companies • Experience driving AI transformation and implementing AI-first development practices • Experience modernizing engineering teams, organizational structures, roles, workflows, and delivery models • Expertise evaluating emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and market trends • Experience establishing AI-first software development lifecycles • Experience evaluating and implementing AI tooling • Experience establishing standards for architecture, security, infrastructure, engineering quality, and technology governance • Experience guiding technical roadmaps for scalability, modernization, and maintainability • Experience recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining technical talent and leaders • Experience with organizational design, hiring, succession planning, and performance management across engineering organizations • Experience identifying and launching standalone AI-native products and companies • Experience with product strategy, commercialization plans, and investment priorities • Experience leading technical execution from concept through launch • Experience leading technical due diligence for prospective acquisitions • Experience assessing engineering organizations, architecture, security posture, technical debt, scalability, and AI readiness • Experience developing technology integration strategies and post-acquisition modernization • Willingness and ability to operate as a strategic, hands-on technology, product, operations, and venture-creation leader
