📋 Description

• Coordinate, implement, and monitor Corporate Safety Programs at various project locations • Perform duties of a safety representative • Provide electrical safety training and education • Train employees on safe work practices, clearance and operational procedures, isolating procedures, and grounding concepts • Identify leading and lagging safety indicators • Develop and implement job-specific safety plans and procedures • Inspect job sites for Company Safety Program and OSHA compliance • Arrange basic first aid training for job site personnel • Investigate and analyze bodily injury, property damage, near miss, and reportable-offense incidents • Coordinate project safety programs with subcontractors • Compile and issue regular accident report summaries • Communicate safety requirement updates and changes to employees • Support, train, or discipline project management personnel regarding corporate safety guidelines and goals • Work with third-party safety verification platforms • Develop regional safety training through onsite, local, and LMS-based methods • Create training and assist trainers with safety programs • Observe and flag personnel for additional or follow-up training • Participate in Corrective Action Plan development • Review and revise Electrical Safety Program documents according to industry codes and best practices • Inspect and recertify regional live-line tools

🎯 Requirements

• Safety certification such as CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or CUSP, or willingness to obtain one • BS in Occupational Safety and Health or 7 years of solar safety experience • 5 years of experience in safety or a related field • Willingness to travel 75% • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations • Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70E • Ability to evaluate operations and maintenance activities for safety and loss control • Ability to recognize and analyze company accident trends • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future • Knowledge of basic electrical concepts • Knowledge of utility-scale solar facilities and field circuitry • Electrical substation knowledge and understanding of its function • Knowledge of medium- and high-voltage environments
