📋 Description

• Provide physician clinical leadership to direct and advance enterprise-wide efforts to improve clinical quality, patient safety, patient experience, access, and cost of care • Partner with the SVP, Clinical Operations and clinical operations teams to assess performance across payor-product partners and geographies • Develop, refine, and deploy clinical performance population health initiatives and interventions with clinical data analytics and actuarial teams • Develop and deploy systematic total cost of care improvement approaches and strategic improvement efforts • Provide physician leadership for value-based care performance, including multi-payor total cost of care management, clinical quality outcomes, patient safety, and NCQA HEDIS quality performance • Analyze and interpret healthcare payor claims data using PMPM, Unit/1000, and $$/Unit metrics • Serve as a physician clinical subject matter expert and resource for clinical program and training teams • Assess appropriate utilization and reduce avoidable acute care utilization across inpatient and outpatient care • Conduct or support quality improvement and outcomes studies • Collaborate with physician leaders across payor and provider partners to improve outcomes for shared patient populations • Lead the enterprise patient safety program • Monitor member satisfaction survey results and optimize patient experience and satisfaction • Assist with provider contracting and evaluate medical aspects of provider contracts • Maintain current knowledge of value-based clinical performance information, capabilities, and technologies • Support patient stratification, continuous evaluation, and restratification for resource allocation • Present to executive leadership and represent Somatus at medical group meetings and conferences • Lead, attract, motivate, assess, and manage talent performance

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with M.D. degree • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in clinical practice • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in value-based care settings • Track record of driving process, quality, and cost outcomes while improving patient care, patient satisfaction, and patient outcomes • Leadership experience of people, programs, and resources • MBA or Masters-Degree in healthcare or related fields preferred • Three (3) years of clinical performance and value-based care leadership experience preferred • Board certified in internal medicine, nephrology or family medicine preferred
