📋 Description

• Own a buyer-side product area on SOVRA's new AI-native procurement platform • Shape product strategy, vision, roadmap, priorities, and positioning using usage data, customer interviews, solicitation analysis, win/loss feedback, and market intelligence • Spend time with agency buyers, evaluators, and contract managers to map procurement workflows and frame problems • Write clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria and work with the Product Owner to define and prioritize the backlog • Decide where AI acts, assists, or leaves control with people across buyer workflows • Define evaluation and production-monitoring approaches for AI features • Build clickable or coded prototypes with AI-assisted tools and test them with users alongside Design • Treat accessibility, data residency and privacy, security review, public procurement law and policy, and ERP and finance integration as product features • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success on launch plans, packaging, pricing, demos, and RFP responses • Take releases through operational-readiness gates so products can be sold, demoed, and supported • Own adoption, retention, and commercial performance metrics for the product area • Coach junior product managers, product owners, and business analysts • Lead AI product pilots and launches and shape the roadmap using adoption data

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in product management at a B2B, enterprise, or SaaS company • Experience taking customer problems from discovery to a shipped product • Experience shipping AI features such as agents, copilots, or intelligent document processing • Experience defining how AI features are evaluated and monitored in production • Working knowledge of government procurement, including solicitations and RFx, evaluation, award, contracts, and cooperative purchasing • Experience gained inside a public agency or at a govtech, procurement, or ERP vendor • Daily hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude, Replit, or Cursor for prototyping, research synthesis, and drafting specifications • Sound judgment on accuracy, data privacy, and public-sector risk • Ability to run discovery and usability tests and work alongside Design • Awareness of accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.2 AA • Ability to define metrics and read usage analytics in tools such as PostHog or Userpilot • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent experience • Authorization to work in the United States • SOVRA is unable to sponsor work visas or transfers • E-procurement, sourcing, or contract lifecycle management experience is an asset • Experience supporting government sales through RFP responses, security questionnaires, demos, and pilots is an asset
