📋 Description

• Lead the team responsible for producing specific Spartan Race events and ensuring overall event success • Ensure departments work effectively together across load-in, race day, and load-out • Drive a culture of safety and accountability onsite • Send regular updates and reports to HQ • Directly oversee the DIM, PA, BCM, Foreman, and Festival Manager; indirectly oversee 30-50 race staff • Manage onsite initiatives, approve spending, and ensure budget adherence • Manage race-day communication and radio traffic • Ensure the approved event vision and plan are executed • Ensure the medical team operates effectively within its scope of work • Oversee load-in and race-day operational plans, including weather response, zone management, transportation, vehicle use, communication, and volunteer management plans • Lead onsite meetings and pre-race operational briefings • Minimize legal and financial risk while maintaining operational excellence • Manage team personalities and HR-related issues in challenging environments • Maintain relationships with venues, municipal departments, and vendors • Identify and resolve potential issues affecting event success • Maintain knowledge of equipment, safety, materials, and production technology • Support team health, wellness, and happiness onsite • Conduct site visits to support event planning • Provide guidance on event designs and planning • Gather event-specific data for post-race reports • Manage pre-race staff emails and communications • Collaborate with procurement, advanced planning, legal, and finance • Participate in required interdepartmental calls • Help develop event communication documents, travel plans, vehicle plans, meal plans, and maps

🎯 Requirements

• Proven leadership experience of multidisciplinary teams under stressful environments • Experience working as a project manager, operations manager, or in the event space • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment • Able to work productively with minimal direction and oversight yet still meet company standards • Proficient with the entire Microsoft Office Suite and cloud based computing software packages (Google Drive, BOX, etc.) • Frequently works 12-18+ hour days in outdoor, adverse conditions for extended periods of time • Willingness and ability to travel 10-14 days at a time for 5+ events per year • Outdoor adventuring and/or endurance racing experience (Ultras, Adventure Races, OCRs, Trail Runs, Triathlons, Marathons) • Analytical and methodical problem solver • Attention to detail • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint • Able to operate basic heavy machinery (Skid Steer and Fork Lift) • Bachelor's degree preferred
