📋 Description

• Build and maintain data models in SQLMesh, including incremental strategies, testing, and documentation • Improve and evolve orchestration and transformation infrastructure • Modernize legacy pipeline jobs in Python and SQLMesh • Participate in the on-call rotation and resolve ETL, data availability, and metric incidents • Define alert thresholds, emit metrics and logs, produce dashboards, and establish escalation paths • Improve platform observability • Maintain pipelines for creator payouts and GAAP-compliant revenue reporting • Build pipeline support for new revenue streams • Improve BigQuery query performance and reduce compute costs • Contribute to ingestion platform work and product analytics infrastructure • Ensure validation, documentation, and monitoring are complete before closing tickets

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in a production environment • Proficiency in SQL, including window functions, CTEs, query optimization, and execution plan analysis • Proficiency in Python for pipeline logic, data transformation, and testing • Experience with SQLMesh, dbt, or equivalent, including incremental models, testing, and documentation • Production experience with a cloud data warehouse, including partitioning, clustering, and cost management • Experience with Dagster, Airflow, Prefect, or equivalent workflow orchestrator • Ability to build observable, reliable data systems with alerting, dashboards, and data quality checks • Ability to own small-to-medium features from technical design through delivery with limited guidance
