📋 Description

• Partner with the Business Manager and Finance Operations team to manage contracts/projects within budget, on schedule, and within scope • Support proposal development, project setup, financial administration, and ongoing project maintenance • Review proposal requests, contract provisions, financial documentation, and project setup requirements • Support internal and external financial audits and reviews • Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement, and other internal stakeholders on project execution • Respond to financial and operational inquiries from internal teams and external clients • Monitor project financial performance and funding status, identifying and escalating potential financial risks • Support project setup in accordance with contractual, billing, and revenue recognition requirements • Review contractual requirements, deliverables, terms and conditions, billing and payment schedules, and periods of performance • Monitor budgets, funding levels, billing, accounts receivable, unbilled balances, EACs, accruals, completion thresholds, and closeout actions • Prepare and submit client financial reports • Support Project Leaders, Principal Investigators, and Project Managers with project/task structures and charge numbers • Maintain project forecasts and review actual performance against budgets and planned hours • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent government contracting experience • PA II: 2+ years of relevant experience • PA III: 4+ years of relevant experience • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contract requirements • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability and desire to learn new systems • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines and shifting demands • Exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information • Desired: experience with project budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting • Desired: experience using Deltek Costpoint • Desired: knowledge of government contracting management, proposal and cost accounting regulations • Desired: understanding of proposal preparation, cost control, and project maintenance functions • Desired: general knowledge of GAAP, CAS, and FAR • Desired: knowledge of DHHS or NSF grant and contracting processes and procedures • Conditional-offer background check requirement
