📋 Description

• Develop and manage internally developed tools supporting and maintaining critical network infrastructure • Work with the networking team to understand infrastructure automation requirements • Deliver automated troubleshooting, alerting, and tooling to resolve complex networking issues • Gather metrics, telemetry, and configuration data from a wide variety of networking devices • Develop applications and write code to automate network-related functions • Develop monitoring and reporting for network devices and behavior • Identify areas that can benefit from automation • Deploy automation and analytics to support SS&C’s network • Develop custom tools to improve enterprise network support, accelerate problem resolution, proactively resolve issues, and reduce network-impacting events

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years leading software development projects in the network engineering space • Automation experience on multiple platforms, including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, VMware/NSX-T, F5, Arista, Aruba, and Cumulus • Experience developing custom APIs • 3+ years of Python experience • Working knowledge of Ansible and Python tools related to network engineering, such as Netmiko and PyATS • Experience working with external REST APIs • Strong knowledge of relational and nonrelational database systems, including SQL-style databases and Splunk/ELK • Working knowledge of data dashboarding platforms, such as Grafana • 3+ years of network engineering experience, including routing/switching, strong BGP, and firewalls • Ability to work in a team environment, share and reuse existing code, document work, and use Git for code management
