📋 Description

• Process the insurance component of patients’ obligations using third-party claims processing and payment rules • Bill claims appropriately • Follow up on denied claims through appeals and denial recovery procedures • Work denied claim lines and no-response claims to resolve outstanding accounts • Analyze and resolve credit balances on patient accounts • Respond to refund request letters from insurance carriers • Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in improvement plans • Work on special projects as needed • May review the work of others • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• One year of experience in medical authorization, coding, or health finance • High school diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience • Candidate must reside within 2 hours from the hospital location • Frequent keyboard use/data entry • Ability to perform frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing 0–25 lbs • Ability to perform occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing 25–50 lbs • Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements • Ability to perform frequent near and far vision and depth perception tasks and distinguish colors • Ability to use hearing and speech for oral communication and hear alarms or malfunctioning machinery • Ability to perform occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping • Required professional license and/or certifications: None
