📋 Description

• Perform large-case custom pricing strategy, including review of quoting performance metrics • Provide thought leadership and support strategic initiatives • Lead projects improving pricing/underwriting accuracy, competitiveness, and efficiency • Support product development and pricing needs for business lines • Help develop approaches for voluntary benefit strategies • Collaborate with sales, underwriting, compliance, and finance stakeholders • Identify ways to enhance and streamline processes • Monitor developments in actuarial techniques, standards, assumptions, legal and regulatory environments • Review and recommend changes to company policy and practices • Mentor and provide coaching and learning guidance to less experienced student actuaries

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in mathematics, actuarial science, business, or a related field • ASA or equivalent required • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in an actuarial role required • Actuary level: 5+ years of experience required • Actuarial Associate III level: 3+ years of experience required • Experience creating pricing strategy for large product lines in Supplemental Health, Disability, or Life products highly preferred • Advanced Excel and VBA skills required • SQL, Power BI dashboard creation, and GGY Axis experience are a plus • Prior experience working with underwriting and sales teams preferred • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills • Project management and conflict resolution abilities • Ability to mentor less experienced student actuaries • Ability to act independently on new assignments • Ability to handle ambiguous tasks and align them with the team’s working model • Ability to monitor actuarial techniques, standards, assumptions, legal, and regulatory developments • Must pass criminal background investigation and employment, education, and licensing verification • Must be bondable
