📋 Description

• Provide itinerant early intervention services to infants and toddlers ages birth to three with hearing loss under Part C of IDEA • Serve infants and toddlers in their homes, childcare settings, and/or other natural environments • Participate in writing Individualized Family Service Plans with families and Child Service Coordinators • Provide written annual progress reports and participate in six-month and annual IFSP reviews • Provide developmentally appropriate language development sessions and diagnostic teaching • Develop and implement instruction tailored to each child and family • Model techniques for families and primary caregivers • Identify, design, utilize, and assess instructional materials • Administer and interpret formal and informal language assessments initially, annually, and at transition • Provide assessment reports to parents • Maintain accurate service records, service notes, Medicaid billing documentation, and progress documentation • Collaborate with and provide consultation to other providers

🎯 Requirements

• NC Teaching License in Education of the Hearing Impaired or qualifications to obtain license to teach in NC • Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or related area • Valid teaching license in Hearing Impaired or the ability to obtain a valid teaching license • Access to reliable internet to conduct business using web-based platforms • Up to 80% travel • Management prefers a non-expired teaching license with a license area of hearing impairment and Birth to Kindergarten • Management prefers NC Infant-Toddler Credential issued through the Department of Public Health • Management prefers public special education teaching experience with children with hearing impairments
