📋 Description

• Own a portion of the business within a specific divisional product category • Manage and optimize high-SKU, complex assortments across multiple brands • Partner with Planning, cross-functional teams, and external vendor partners • Develop and execute financial and product strategies to drive sales, optimize inventory, and expand white-space opportunities • Analyze business performance, take calculated risks, resolve operational gaps, and manage open-to-buy budgets with Planning counterparts • Build trust-based partnerships with external vendors • Present strategic assortments to leadership and internal cross-functional teams • Conduct competitive market research to identify product gaps and emerging trends • Modernize assortments to meet evolving client needs • Use digital workflow utilities, enterprise tools, and AI applications to analyze data, streamline assortment planning, and solve complex problems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Fashion, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Buying or Merchandising • Demonstrated expertise managing product assortments, driving profitability, and inventory optimization in multi-branded and vertical retail environments • Strong proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Slides) • Familiarity with productivity AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot • Eagerness to quickly master new technologies • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems independently • Effective negotiation skills • Ability to communicate complex strategies clearly to cross-functional partners and leadership • Ability to travel approximately 25–30% of the time • Nice to have: experience managing high-SKU, high-complexity assortments in e-commerce or tech-driven retail environments • Nice to have: experience managing and balancing open-to-buy budgets with planning partners • Nice to have: exposure to advanced retail analytics software or automated assortment planning tools
