Team Rubicon is powered by volunteers, known as Greyshirts, who work tirelessly to aid communities affected by various disasters such as hurricanes, wildfires, and floods. Funded by donations from individuals and corporate sponsors, Team Rubicon ensures that disaster survivors receive help free of charge.

📋 Description

• Manage storage caches across program locations, including monitoring leases and tracking inventory • Manage fleet assets and purchase construction materials and supplies for construction projects • Track and report fleet vehicle location, utilization, toll tag usage and maintenance • Lease and report utilization of rental vehicles as needed for programmatic support • Evaluate materials lists and research or recommend disaster-resilient materials • Procure construction-related materials through the vendor network, evaluating best-cost options • Identify vendors for ad-hoc materials procurement needs in resource deserts • Liaise with FEMA, state governments and nonprofits to solicit Donations in Kind (DIK) • Source, ship, receive, inventory and warehouse Donations in Kind • Ship, receive, inventory and warehouse durable goods for programmatic areas • Track and report utilization of gift cards for materials purchases • Support the Workforce Development department with logistics tasks, including rental vehicles, in-kind donations, storage and transportation • Report to the Manager, Long Term Recovery (Operations) • Ensure construction contractors have materials needed to rebuild homes for disaster-affected clients

🎯 Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in the military, emergency management, or social impact space • 1-2 years of experience in logistics, fleet management, purchasing, acquisitions, or supply chain management • Strong computer skills required • Exceptional skill in sourcing, organizing, evaluating and recommending solutions to support programmatic requirements • Preferred: Practical understanding of Lean methodologies • Must be based in the lower 48 US States • Willingness to work evenings/weekends periodically • Willingness to travel at least 20% non-locally periodically • Relocation expenses are not provided
