📋 Description

• Teach online courses and residencies • Mentor doctoral learners and chair or serve on doctoral committees • Facilitate interactive dissertation and doctoral capstone course rooms • Review course feedback and use course data to improve teaching and learner experience • Contribute to curriculum and course development, including plans, objectives, outcomes, teaching aids, competency-based assessments, and authentic assessment tools • Ensure diversity, sensitivity, and inclusiveness in curriculum and course materials • Participate in school and university governance and faculty committees • Provide peer mentorship, feedback, and guidance to faculty • Contribute professional knowledge and skills to learners, the institution, the profession, and local communities • Maintain scholarly expertise through writing, presentations, conference attendance, research, and publication • Participate in faculty development, meetings, commencement, residencies, webinars, orientations, course revisions, and problem resolution • Support learner management, research and advising, program development, field education, accreditation, and B2B partnership efforts as assigned • Take on additional leadership roles and challenging projects based on school or university needs

🎯 Requirements

• Two or more years teaching in higher education and in an online setting required • Experience teaching biology or life sciences required • Experience teaching in higher education required • Experience writing curriculum required • Evidence of supporting learner success and a commitment to quality teaching outcomes required • Ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community required • Experience with scholarly writing and use of APA 6th edition required • Doctorate in related field required • Doctorate or Master’s degree in biology (Life Sciences) or related field such as microbiology or human anatomy required • Additional Doctorate or Master's degree in nursing preferred • Experience mentoring doctoral students preferred • Membership/affiliation in an educational leadership organization preferred • Commitment to service and practice in educational leadership preferred • Experience with leadership through team engagement preferred • Experience presenting at professional conferences preferred • Must be able to travel occasionally if business need arises • Faculty roles require a remote work setting with computer, privacy, reliable internet, phone, and video-conferencing access • Must meet critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication requirements • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant • Able to access information using a computer
