📋 Description

• Deliver rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences online • Personalize learning for all students and differentiate instruction based on mastery • Augment course content using prescribed synchronous and asynchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel approximately once per month and/or 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and other school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Economics OR Business certificate/license • Indiana state teaching license; out-of-state certification requires reciprocity within Indiana within 60 days of employment • Bachelor's degree • Ability to clear required background check • Residency in Indiana; residents of Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, or Illinois may be considered • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology • Experience teaching online and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
