📋 Description

• Deliver rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for elementary students • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using approved asynchronous and synchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Travel as required, averaging once per month and/or up to 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active North Carolina Elementary School Teaching Certification • North Carolina residency • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to collaborate with teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Desired: experience working with the proposed age group • Desired: experience supporting adults and children with technology • Desired: experience teaching online or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Desired: experience with online learning platforms
