📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance to students • Manage the learning process and focus on individual student needs • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning for all students • Differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Maintain the grade book and ensure academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to student performance and progress concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required, averaging once per month and/or up to 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school needs

🎯 Requirements

• North Carolina Elementary School Teaching Certification required • Residency in North Carolina • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Experience working with the proposed age group is desired • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology is desired • Experience teaching online/virtual and/or brick-and-mortar is desired • Experience with online learning platforms is desired
