📋 Description

• Deliver specific elementary course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction according to student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Collaborate with teachers to interpret student data and drive instructional decisions • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Elementary teaching certification; out-of-state certification requires Indiana reciprocity within 60 days of employment • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distractions during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children with technology preferred • Experience teaching online or in a brick-and-mortar environment preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Ability to receive regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Indiana residency strongly preferred; residents of Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, or Illinois may be considered
