📋 Description

• Provide ELL K-12 program administration, professional support and training, and student and family services • Apply language acquisition principles to program development, teacher support, and student education • Advise administration to ensure state and federal compliance • Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning for all students • Differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Maintain the grade book and student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom • Travel for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and other school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Michigan Teaching Certification required • ELL endorsement • Must reside in Michigan • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data and use it to drive instructional decisions • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Required travel on average once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time
