📋 Description

• Deliver specific High School Medical Coding Electives course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches • Support parents/learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting • Collaborate with teachers to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Travel as required, averaging once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Active state teaching license • Current Middle School Electives certification • Must reside in Oklahoma • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction from 8a–5p • Ability to collaborate with teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations and use them for instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology • Experience teaching online/virtual and/or brick-and-mortar • Experience with online learning platforms
