📋 Description

• Deliver specific special education course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance tailored to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) • Ensure special education and related services are provided as determined by the IEP team • Communicate with parents and related service staff regarding student therapies • Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and required state-specific special education documentation • Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings, including annual IEP meetings • Implement accommodations and modifications using assistive technology, supplemental curriculum, and accessible text • Modify Stride K12 lessons and assessments according to IEP requirements • Support inclusion and student success in the general education classroom • Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals • Document parent contacts and student interventions • Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment • Provide synchronous and asynchronous online learning experiences • Maintain the grade book and make placement and promotion decisions • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Maintain positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents or learning coaches • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting • Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Appropriate and current Arkansas Department of Education Special Education Teaching Certification required • Must reside in Arkansas • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience with the proposed age group desired • Experience supporting adults and children using technology desired • Experience teaching online or in a brick-and-mortar environment desired • Experience with an online learning platform desired
