📋 Description

• Deliver specific elementary special education course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance tailored to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) • Build relationships with families, students, and learning coaches • Ensure special education and related services are provided as determined by the IEP team • Communicate with parents and related service staff regarding appropriate therapies • Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and required special education documentation • Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings, including annual IEP meetings • Apply accommodations and modifications using assistive technology, supplemental curriculum, and accessible text • Modify Stride K12 lessons and assessments according to IEP requirements • Support student inclusion and success in general education classrooms • Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals • Document parent contacts and student interventions • Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Maintain the grade book and student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Communicate regularly and respond promptly to students and learning coaches/parents • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Work collaboratively with other teachers and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Active Oklahoma teaching license/certification • Special Education endorsement • Ability to clear required background check • 0–1 year of related professional experience • Oklahoma residency required • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction • Ability to work during school-defined hours, typically 9–5 or 8–4 • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and/or school requirements • Ability to collaborate with teachers and use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Strong written and verbal communication skills
