📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Focus on students’ individual needs and monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning for all students and maintain high expectations • Differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using approved asynchronous and synchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required, on average once per month and/or up to 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• General Education Certificate preferred • Texas residency required • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday, typically 9–5 or 8–4 • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data and use it to drive instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
