📋 Description

• Partner with the Chief of Staff to translate the Vice Chair's priorities into a clear portfolio of programs across policy, public affairs, publishing, and external partnerships • Design and run the team's operating rhythm, including planning, review, and decision forums • Own programs end-to-end: frame objectives, build plans, drive execution, and report on outcomes • Build operational foundations for a growing team, including prioritization, tracking, and success measurement • Define program success, run experiments where useful, and track outcomes • Represent the Vice Chair Office with communications, policy, legal, finance, and external partners • Identify risks and dependencies and drive them to resolution • Take on new projects and ambiguous problems as priorities shift

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in strategy, program leadership, or an operating role supporting a senior leader or a complex, cross-functional team • A track record of turning ambiguous priorities into a structured plan and driving it through to execution • Strong written and verbal communication, with experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders • Good judgment about when to make a call yourself and when to escalate • Comfort managing several workstreams at once without losing track of the details • Impeccable organizational, project management and stakeholder management skills • Preferred: Experience in policy, government relations, public affairs, or a related field • Preferred: Experience working directly with senior executives • Preferred: Experience building a process, program, or team structure from scratch • Preferred: Experience defining success metrics or running experiments for programs that don't have an obvious, pre-built way to measure impact
