• Lead a small Infrastructure Engineering team responsible for operating and modernizing the production platform • Split approximately 50% of time between hands-on infrastructure work and 50% people management • Own reliability and modernization of the Kubernetes-based Azure production platform • Complete the remaining migration away from legacy infrastructure • Drive infrastructure initiatives through implementation and completion • Set priorities, coach engineers, and create clear accountability • Make pragmatic decisions balancing reliability, security, technical debt, capacity, and product priorities • Partner with engineering, security, compliance, and other technical stakeholders • Champion AI-native engineering practices, including AI coding assistants and AI-assisted operations • Reduce operational and coordination overhead across the engineering organization
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, SRE, or software engineering, including 2+ years managing engineers • Recent hands-on experience operating production Kubernetes environments in Azure or a comparable public cloud • Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and modern CI/CD practices, including Argo, Terraform and GitHub-based deployment workflows • Experience leading infrastructure modernization, migration, reliability, or operational improvement initiatives through completion • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop engineers while maintaining a substantial hands-on technical contribution • Strong judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving environments • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including effective remote collaboration across engineering teams • Hands-on fluency with modern AI development tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot • Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound pragmatic decisions • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
